What Is Dakar Classic Assistance?
Dakar Classic assistance is the complete off event support a private crew needs to take part in the rally. It covers eligibility and ASO registration, vehicle transport and logistics, bivouac infrastructure, technical scrutineering support, and a mechanic to service and repair the car between stages. In short, everything except the driving itself.
The driving and the navigation stay with the crew. Everything around them can be handed over. Support starts long before the start line: entries for the Dakar Classic 2027 close on 20 October 2026, scrutineering runs in two stages, first in Barcelona before shipping and then at the start camp in Saudi Arabia, and the vehicle has to be transported from Europe and back.
Assistance is scaled to how much a crew needs, from bivouac infrastructure only, starting at EUR 8,000, up to a mechanic assigned exclusively to one vehicle for the whole rally.
